The beauty of the Grand Harbour is unmatched. Artist Sarah Calleja is attempting to convey nostalgic emotion attached to the grand harbour and her grandmother’s wartime tales in her paintings by striving to capture its true essence. She made the decision to work with a limited colour palette, employing up to five colours in some pieces. In some instances, Calleja employed only one colour in her pieces, in order to depict a sense of nostalgia through the Grand Harbour and the convoy of Santa Maria.
