Crystal blue waters, sunny weather, and historical landmarks are just some of the things that Malta shows off during the warmer season. With the island offering events aplenty and tours throughout the year, we now take a look and give attention to what this bustling island provides to satisfy your enjoyment during the colder months.

Spend some time in the capital city and visit one (or all) of Malta’s theatres, which not only boast historic and grand constructional designs, but proudly present an array of unique performances and shows. Let your imagination run wild and sit back and relax, while you watch and fall in love with the wonderful talent Malta has to offer. After, you can take a walk around Valletta and select from an impressive list of restaurants, offering menus and dishes from all around the globe to satisfy your cravings.

The Point Shopping Mall

Fancy some retail therapy? The Point Shopping Mall, conveniently located in Sliema, emanates a five-star ambience and is home to the largest number of exclusive brands all under one roof. Whether you’re after a single loaf of bread or a brand-new outfit, The Point has it all, making it your one-stop shop. Once you can’t carry any more bags, you can check out and relax at one of the many cafes/food spots the mall has to offer. It also boasts a three-level carpark that hosts over 1000 car spaces, so you can rest assured that you won’t need to travel too far with your newly bought gems.

With the colder weather allowing you to slow down and take a break from the rush of summer, perhaps it can give you a chance to go back in time and learn about Maltese history. Evidence shows us that Malta has been civilised since 5000BC, so it comes as no surprise that it has a long and impressive line of culture, evolution, and social progression. Whether you have a passion for archaeology or a love for fine art, there’s a museum waiting to welcome you.

The once capital of Malta holds a rich history and is a definite must-see when on the island. During the colder months, you can wrap up and take a stroll through the fortified city to view everything from St Paul’s catacombs and St Paul’s cathedral to the Mdina dungeons. Overlooking fields, neighbouring localities, and the outer distant oceans, Mdina offers a memorable experience full of culture, landmarks, and scenery. It also offers many traditional cafes and eateries. Being home to both cosy restaurants, and open and spacious ones, your hunger will be satisfied after exploring every inch of the city.

Although one of the smallest countries in the Mediterranean, Malta never ceases to surprise us and continues to impress. Malta reminds us that regardless of season or time of year, there are always plenty of things to do and places waiting for you to visit.
