Esplora to celebrate Halloween with scientifically spooky Cirque Bizarre Halloween Night
In two weeks, Halloween will be upon us. Just as they have in previous years, Esplora will be going all out for the spooky celebrations! On Tuesday 31 October, you’re invited to Cirque Bizarre Halloween Night. The entire science centre will be converted into an extravagant circus, so get ready to be transported to a world where science meets the odd! Esplora has a number of attractions, shows and workshops in store for the night, here’s what visitors can expect…
First up, ‘Science on Fire’ will feature a circus master who will be delivering a fiery spectacle with dazzling experiments and demonstrations. Next, have you ever wondered how magicians pull off their tricks? The science of it all? Well, ‘Spectacular’ will transport you back in time to 1620 and introduce you to two time-travelling alchemists with all the answers.
The ‘Gross Dissections’ workshop will elucidate the little we know about our own organs through organ dissection. Then, will you face the challenge of completing a set of strange scientific games to make it out of the ‘Corridor of Curiosities’? Next, ‘The Reptile Dungeon’ will take you to a place ruled by reptiles and insects, sounds scary, right? However, expert herpetologists and entomologists will be there equipped with interesting facts about the overly feared creatures.
On top of all this, there will also be multiple capitvating hands-on activities and circus games scattered around the centre. Not to mention, more spontaneous activities and a mysterious competition. Oh, and keep your eye out for certain fashionable “persons in character”, they’ve got treats in those stylish pockets!
Tickets are priced at €10 for adults (16+), €5 for children (3-15), as well as disability card holders and seniors, while infants get in for free. One ticket gives you access to all the activities, although it gives you access to just one science show or workshop. So what are you waiting for? Get them here before they run out .
