Drama Unfolds on the Latest Episode of MasterChef Malta
In a dramatic turn of events on yesterday’s MasterChef Malta, the pressure test put contestants from last week’s losing team against each other in a head-to-head battle to recreate a technically challenging dish under intense time pressure. Joining the regular panel of judges Victor Borg, Letizia Vella, and Joe Vella was guest chef Ismael Borg from Mannarinu Caterers, renowned for his mastery of soufflés.
The kitchen was a rollercoaster of emotions as tears flowed, especially from Pia, who wasn’t thrilled with her creation. But guess what? Despite her panic attack, her soufflé rocked the judges’ world and snagged the top spot, securing her victory alongside David.
Unfortunately, Roderick’s soufflé fell short, leading to the end of his journey on the show.
But the challenges didn’t end there. The quest for the immunity pin began, a highly coveted lifeline that could save a contestant from elimination until the semi-finals. The contestants’ next challenge was to recreate Chef Letizia’s signature dish, Kusksu, a beloved Maltese traditional dish… with a twist!
After intense cooking and presentation, Sam’s modernised Kusksu stood out as perfection in the eyes of the judges, earning him the coveted immunity pin. With this pin in hand, Sam now holds the power to save himself from elimination in any future challenge until the semi-finals, adding an extra layer of suspense to the competition.
