New Ferry Route from Malta to Ragusa Set to Launch in September
Get ready to embark on a new adventure with Ragusa Xpress, the eagerly awaited ferry service that will soon connect Malta with the picturesque city of Ragusa in Sicily.
Scheduled to set sail in September, the exact launch date remains a mystery as operators await the final go-ahead from Sicilian authorities, according to the Times of Malta.
Ragusa Xpress offers a fresh twist to your Sicilian escapades. While Virtu Ferries has been your trusty steed to Pozzallo, this new ferry will be taking you directly to Ragusa, a city famed for its stunning Baroque architecture and lively cultural vibes. This route opens up fresh opportunities for exploring the unique charms of Sicily.
The ferry boasts a capacity of around 400 passengers and space for 21 cars, making it a top choice for both tourists and locals eager for a seamless journey across the waves.
In addition to Ragusa Xpress, Virtu Ferries also provides a reliable option, running two trips a day between Malta and Pozzallo in southern Sicily. These larger vessels can carry twice as many passengers, more cars, and commercial vehicles up to 19 metres in length.
