This September marks the much-anticipated return of Gozo’s beloved artisan market, Fresh Finds Mercato, now in its fourth edition. This seasonal arts and crafts event is dedicated to showcasing the best of local talent, bringing together independent makers, artists, designers, and farmers from across the island.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Nadur Square, the Autumn Edition promises a memorable evening where visitors can explore an eclectic array of high-quality, locally-produced goods. The market not only offers a unique shopping experience but also provides the opportunity to engage directly with artisans, delving into their creative processes, inspirations, and the stories behind their craft.

This year’s event will feature a delightful mix of products. Highlights include organic herbal remedies from Petra’s Secret Garden in Qala, meticulously crafted with locally sourced ingredients, and a tantalising selection of hot sauces and preserves by Joel of Ferment Island, who is renowned for his passion for Gozo’s rich local produce.

Joining them will be Katia Muscat, who will be offering ceremonial-grade cacao, and Mica, a talented artisan whose handmade paper pieces draw inspiration from local folklore, mythology, and Malta’s iconic megalithic goddesses.

In addition to the artisans, visitors can look forward to live hairdressing demonstrations, creating an engaging atmosphere where creativity is on full display. The culinary experience is equally enticing, with Bradley Borg of Maxtar Street Food serving up freshly prepared dishes featuring locally sourced meats and vegetables.

Under the twinkling lights of Nadur Square, this family-friendly event promises something for everyone.
