Rooftop Series Summer Festival 2025 Opens in Floriana This July
The Rooftop Series Summer Festival returns to Malta this July, offering visitors and locals a curated programme of live music, flamenco, theatre, and literature set against panoramic views of Valletta. The festival runs from 10 July to 10 September 2025 on the rooftop of the Catholic Institute in Floriana.
Presented by the Archbishop’s Delegate for Culture and co-produced by Annalisa Schembri, the Rooftop Series is now in its second year following a sold-out pilot edition in 2024. The 2025 lineup features both local and international artists in a multidisciplinary setting.
Programme Highlights:
10 July – Puerto Flamenco: Flamenco dancer Francesca ‘La Chica’ Grima leads an ensemble from Seville, including Andrej Vujicic, Antonio Castro ‘El Antoñete’, Ruben Romero, and Tremendo Hijo.
30 July – ILSNA in Concert: A Maltese–Dutch collaboration led by Ruth Borg, performing original music in Maltese.
10 September – Claire Tonna Unplugged: Closing night concert featuring Claire Tonna, supported by a string quartet and choir.
The open-air venue offers a quieter cultural alternative just outside the capital, ideal for tourists seeking intimate, high-quality events during their stay.
Tickets for all events are limited and available online.
