Malta has welcomed a major new shopping destination with the opening of St George’s Mall in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s. Located beneath the Hard Rock Hotel Malta, the new mall is now open to the public with over 60 shops, cafés and restaurants spread across two floors.
The development brings several international brands to Malta for the first time, alongside well-known local retailers, new restaurants, a supermarket and a range of everyday services.
St George’s Mall offers around 20,000 square metres of retail space, making it one of the largest shopping centres in Malta. Visitors will find fashion, beauty, homeware, jewellery, electronics and sporting goods, as well as cafés, restaurants and essential services.
The shopping centre also retains the stone arches and other architectural features of the former Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) site, originally built by the British Army in the 19th century as military barracks.
