If you’re heading to Malta this month, pack your dancing shoes alongside your sunscreen. This tiny Mediterranean island turns into one of Europe’s liveliest party destinations every summer, and this year’s line-up is truly stacked. Here’s everything you need to know about who’s playing, when and where.
Carl Cox, August 12, UNO Malta
The King is back. Carl Cox takes over UNO Malta for one exclusive night. Last year’s Malta show sold out in record time, and this one is shaping up the same way. If you’re into house and techno, catching Carl Cox at UNO’s open-air setup is one of those things you just have to do at least once.

Glitch Festival, 12-15 August, Various Venues
This is the big one. Glitch is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year with four days of music across nine stages and more than 95 acts. The line-up reads like a techno wishlist: Amelie Lens, Ben Klock, Rødhåd, Chris Stussy, Mall Grab, VTSS, Dax J, and SPFDJ, with Ben Klock and Rødhåd going back-to-back at some point.
The festival kicks off on the 12th with an opening party at Valletta’s historic Ditch, followed by an after-hours session at Liquid Club. The main event runs on 13 and 14 August at Gianpula Village, before things wrap up on the 15 August with boat parties departing from Sliema and a closing party on Gianpula’s Orbit Stage. Heads up though, the main festival tickets for 2026 are already sold out, with only a few closing-party tickets remaining at the time of writing.

Claptone, 14 August, Café del Mar
Iconic masked DJ mystery man takes the decks at Café del Mar in Qawra for a special edition of G7 Fridays. Think deep house and tech house as the sun goes down, carrying straight through into the early hours. Get there before golden hour if you can, because the sunset view is honestly half the reason to go.

Calvin Harris, 15 August, Ta' Qali National Park
One of SummerDaze’s biggest nights brings the world’s biggest hitmaker to Ta’ Qali, turning it into the island’s biggest dance floor for one night, right on the feast of Santa Marija. If you’re only going to splash out on one big stage show this summer, make it this one.

Loco Dice, 16 August, UNO Malta
The day after Calvin Harris, UNO Malta keeps the party going with veteran tech house selector Loco Dice, courtesy of +356 Entertainment and Cocoricò. Perfect if you’re not ready to let the weekend end just yet.

Bob Sinclar, 17 August, Café del Mar
French house royalty Bob Sinclar keeps the run of sunset sessions going at Café del Mar. A Monday set that genuinely doesn’t feel like a Monday.

HUGEL, 29 August, Fort Manoel
The Afro House heavyweight behind that inescapable “Bella Ciao” remix plays a historic first show inside Fort Manoel, an 18th-century fortress on Manoel Island staring straight across at Valletta’s skyline. The party gets going around sunset and continues into the night. This is one of those “wait, we’re partying inside a fort?” moments Malta does so well.

Sticking around into September?
A couple of huge names just miss the August cut-off, so they’re worth knowing about if your trip runs long. Black Coffee plays Fort Manoel on 13 September, followed by Charlotte de Witte at the same venue on 26 September.
Getting around
Most of the big August shows cluster around UNO Malta, Gianpula and Ta’ Qali in the centre of the island, while Café del Mar pulls things over to the coast in Qawra. Basing yourself in Valletta, Sliema, or St. Julian’s keeps you relatively well connected to the main nightlife areas.
For Glitch, dedicated festival buses run between the festival grounds and Gżira or Qawra, but for other events, it’s worth checking transport arrangements with the individual promoter. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are widely used, though demand can spike when thousands of people leave a venue at once.
Whatever you pick, book early. Malta’s summer nightlife scene has caught on fast, and the good tickets don’t hang around.
