Dillon Cassar and Roberta Schembri have successfully secured the national title of the 5k champions. This was achieved following their previous victory in the Championship hosted by Athletics Malta in the Ħal Far Industrial Park.

The organised event welcomed 100 athletes, the first of its kind in Malta to be certified by Word Athletics, as part of the ongoing effort to ameliorate the quality of the sport experience, incorporating events such as the non-stadia which occurred today.

Dillon Cassar, (Mellieħa AC) claimed the 5k title in 15:05, while Luke Micallef (Pembroke Athleta) and Simon Spiteri (St Patrick’s) followed suit taking second and third place respctively.

Roberta Schembri (Evolve Endurance Club) excelled in the women’s division, securing the national title in 17:30, with Lisa Marie Bezzina (Pembroke) and Rachel Lee Borg (Pembroke) placing second and third place respectively.
