Birkirkara and Swieqi United are the finalists who will compete for the 2021/2022 Women’s Knock-Out competition trophy.

Birkirkara continued to dominate as they won their tenth league title in style, staying undefeated the entire way to break Hibernians’ domestic record of 69 games achieved between 1999/2000 and 2004/2005.

Opposingly, Swieqi had a difficult start to the season before finding their stride under temporary coach Billy Mock and edging off Marr United for second place.

In what may be termed a dress rehearsal for this highly anticipated final, the two teams clashed in the final game of the season. Swieqi came within five minutes of ending Birkirkara’s undefeated run when Sara Saliba, a youngster, snatched a point for the Stripes in an exciting 2-2 draw.
