Exploring The Mosta Rotunda With Maltese Treats

Guests are invited to wander around and discover The Rotunda of Mosta whilst travelling back in time by exploring many sections of the building and to get an idea of life back then and how the rooms and sections were used – through to the present time.

Beginning on 4 Avril, you’ll be able to tour the landmark anytime between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. Tickets are split into three sections consisting of;

Part A which is The Rotunda of Mosta and the Mosta World War II Shelter

This includes a tour of the sacristies of the church. Guests will also be able to view the bomb replica with the addition of religious exhibits. The shelter from WW II can also be viewed where two exhibitions are on display.

Part B is a walkthrough of the old streets of Mosta, visiting varied places of interest with exclusive access

Whether you’re alone, or in a group, a tour member will guide you through the old streets of Mosta whilst visiting places of interest, thanks to exclusive access. For further knowledge and context, a booklet will be provided which explains the significance of each place of interest. The information will be available in different languages.

Part C is a full Maltese buffet served in ‘Dar Mustija’ (which is a Maltese characteristic house and garden)

Built in 1800, the ‘Dar Mustija’ was donated by the Grezzju siblings to the Mosta Parish and originally served as a space for religious teaching and formation. Fast forward to the present day, it is now a place that serves local food and drinks to visiting guests of The Rotunda of Mosta. If you love traditional Maltese foods, this menu is for you. Some of the many food and drinks which will be available include;

  • Maltese tuna ftira
  • Peppered goats cheese
  • Qassatat
  • Olives
  • Maltese sweets
  • Tea and coffee
  • Timpana

This is definitely a unique and exciting opportunity to not miss out on. Should you not be available on Mardi 4 Avril, worry not as this will be taking place every Mardi until 26 Décembre.
