Malta-based fashion designer and creative director Roberto Mendoza captivated audiences at Venice Fashion Week with the presentation of his latest collection, VENEZIA SVELATA, an artistic exploration of elegance, femininity and the timeless beauty of Venice.

Inspired by the city’s magnificent architecture, romantic atmosphere and rich cultural heritage, the collection translated Venetian beauty into contemporary couture. Sculptural silhouettes, fluid draping, delicate transparencies and dramatic flowing gowns created a visual dialogue between fashion, movement and architectural form.

The collection’s refined colour palette featured rich chocolate brown, soft champagne, ivory, smoke grey and subtle touches of gold, reflecting the warmth of Venetian palaces, the textures of historic stone and the changing light over the city’s iconic canals.

A Vision of Timeless Elegance

Through VENEZIA SVELATA, meaning Venice Unveiled, Mendoza explored the relationship between strength and delicacy, creating designs that celebrate individuality, confidence and sophisticated femininity.

Each creation reflected the designer’s passion for craftsmanship, intricate detailing and the transformation of fabric into wearable art. Flowing silhouettes and carefully constructed draping gave the collection a sense of movement, while refined finishes introduced a contemporary interpretation of classical elegance.

The runway presentation brought together international models and a talented creative team, whose contributions helped translate Mendoza’s artistic vision into a cohesive fashion experience.

An International Creative Collaboration

The presentation featured Francesca Mercieca, Miss Universe Malta 2026, alongside international models Carmin Martínez, Greeta Porrino, Kenya Forti and Vittoria Apiva, among others, who brought the collection to life on the runway.
