Mustafa Algiyadi’s Stand-Up Comedy Routine ‘A Little Loving Hurts No One’ once again at Black Pearl
After a successful string of shows all over Europe, Mustafa Algiyadi is bringing his stand-up comedy routine ‘A Little Loving Hurts No one’ to Malta once again. On December 17, Algiyadi will be taking over Black Pearl in Ta’ Xbiex a second time!
Mustafa Algiyadi was born in Tripoli, but eventually moved to Munich. Today, he is the co-founder of the first weekly and longest running English Stand Up Comedy Club in Munich. Mustafa Algiyadi utilises humour to convey his unique experience of navigating the European way of life through the eyes of a Libyan Arab, desperately wanting to fit in but experiencing many external and internal conflicts in the process.
Algiyadi’s jokes can fall anywhere on the spectrum of the darkest to the dumbest, all combined with a semi-intellectual manner that exacerbates his imposter syndrome. As part of his brand, Algiyadi makes light of touchy subjects, but he strikes that balance between humour and socio-political issues. He brings up subjects like cultural differences and the gender pay gap in a lighthearted manner, but a respectful one nonetheless. His jokes are topical, but ultimately still jokes.
Mustafa Algiyadi has spent the past couple of years touring in such cities as Amsterdam, Brighton, Munich, and more. He’s already visited Malta twice this year; one of his last times on the island was in January of this year, when he performed with local comic Malcolm Galea at Ivy House Malta. Last year, he performed in front of an audience of 5,600 people.
So, if you‘re up for having a laugh all while analysing people’s actions, discussing religion, meditation, velvet sofas and how to handle obnoxious individuals, this is the event for you! A Little Loving Hurts No One comes to Black Pearl on December 17 from 7 pm to 9 pm. Get your tickets here!
