OJ Borg, the BBC Radio 2 presenter with Maltese roots, has stepped out of the studio and into the kitchen for Celebrity MasterChef 2024. Known for his quick wit and engaging late-night shows, OJ is now putting his culinary skills to the test in one of television’s toughest cooking competitions.

In the latest episode, OJ faced off against fellow contestants including TV personality Diane Carson, pop star Mutya Buena, and dancer Vito Coppola. The challenge? Create magic with mystery ingredients like goat’s cheese and pineapple in the Cloche challenge. OJ impressed judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with his cauliflower dish, surviving the intense pressure of the competition’s first round.

Reflecting on his experience, OJ joked, “It’s literally like trying to get away from a shark—you don’t have to be the fastest swimmer, just not the slowest.” Despite his nerves, he’s relishing the opportunity to improve his cooking.
