Iconic Mosta House Earns Two National Records for Jaw-Dropping Christmas Decorations

Mosta’s famed corner house on Triq is-Snajja has once again cemented its title as Malta’s undisputed king of festive flair, earning two national records for its jaw-dropping Christmas decorations. If you thought last year’s display was dazzling, brace yourself, this year’s effort is next-level!

The house, glowing brighter than a Christmas tree on steroids, is a spectacle that demands attention and cannot be missed. Decked out with a staggering 57,900 LED lights (yep, you read that right!), it completely outshone last year’s total of 54,500 bulbs. Naturally, this earned the proud homeowner a shiny new national record for the most illuminated facade.

But wait—there’s more! Step inside, and you’ll find another record-breaking spectacle. A jaw-dropping 2,325 baubles dangle from the ceiling, transforming the interior into a literal winter wonderland. This remarkable feat snagged the homeowner, Gaetano Buttigieg (or Gejtu), yet another prestigious award.

Gejtu joins the ranks of Malta’s festive elite, alongside legends like the Camilleri Catering team, who bagged a record for crafting a five-metre-long gingerbread man. Clearly, Mosta isn’t just about fireworks—it’s the epicentre of Christmas creativity!

If you’re in the mood for some festive cheer, head over to Triq is-Snajja (right behind Lidl) to check out the incredible light display. Don’t forget to take a photo and appreciate the hard work that went into this record-breaking masterpiece!

Gejtu, we’re impressed
