Special Bus Services for Valletta Carnival 2025

The Valletta carnival 2025 is an event you won’t want to miss, and to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action, Malta Public Transport is increasing bus frequencies on Saturday, 1 March, and Sunday, 2 March 2025. With thousands expected to attend the celebrations, these additional services will help both locals and tourists reach Valletta and return home smoothly.

Several key routes will run more frequently, ensuring a hassle-free and reliable transport option for festival-goers:

Route 13A (Valletta – San Ġiljan) – Every hour from 12:15 to 20:15
Route 42 (Valletta – Tal-Pietà) – Every 30 minutes from 12:00 to 21:00
Route TD13 (Valletta – Pembroke Park & Ride) – Every 40 minutes from 13:00 to 22:00
Route 31 (Valletta – Buġibba) – Every hour from 11:30 to 20:30
Route 46 (Valletta – Siġġiewi) – Every 45 minutes from 12:00 to 20:45
Route 48 (Valletta – Ċirkewwa) – Every hour from 12:15 to 21:15
Route 71 (Valletta – Żurrieq) – Every 50 minutes from 11:45 to 20:45
Route 82 (Valletta – Birżebbuġa) – Every 35 minutes from 12:00 to 21:00
Route 91 (Valletta – Marsaskala) – Every 40 minutes from 12:30 to 21:30
Route 61 (Valletta – Ħaż-Żebbuġ) – Every hour from 12:35 to 20:35

Fares & tickets:

  • Tallinja Card Holders: Free travel on all day, night, and special Services.
  • Non-Tallinja Card Holders: Cash tickets available at €3 per trip.
  • Tallinja Direct (TD) Routes: €3.00 for cash payments, or just €1.50 with a personalised Tallinja Card.
