Lewis Capaldi and Calvin Harris Set for SummerDaze Malta This August

Malta’s summer line-up is shaping up really nicely, and SummerDaze is once again at the heart of it.

Returning this August, the festival will host two headline nights led by Lewis Capaldi and Calvin Harris, each bringing a completely different feel to the stage.

First up, on 11 August, Capaldi takes the spotlight. Known for his heartfelt ballads and unmistakable voice, his set is likely to be filled with those big, crowd-led moments where everyone seems to know every word. It’s also a great return for him, having previously performed at Floriana in Malta back in 2022, which adds a nice sense of familiarity to the night.

Then, on 15 August, the tempo shifts up a notch. World renowned super star DJ Calvin Harris steps in with a full-scale dance set, teaming up with BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems, Creamfields and of course his famous Ibiza residencies. Expect a high-energy night built around some of the biggest tracks of the last decade. Think We Found Love, One Kiss, Summer and the popular hit How Deep Is Your Love.

This year, SummerDaze moves to the Ta’ Qali Concert Area, offering more space and a proper open-air festival setting. It’s the kind of venue that suits both stripped-back singalongs and full production dance shows, depending on the night.

One of the more surprising details is the ticket price. Entry starts from just €10, which includes a reusable cup as part of the festival’s sustainability efforts, along with some event merchandise. For a line-up of this scale, it’s refreshingly accessible. A limited number of front of stage pit passes are also available at €100.

For anyone visiting Malta in August, it’s an easy addition to the itinerary. Whether you’re after something laid-back and lyrical or loud and energetic, SummerDaze has both ends of the spectrum covered across the two star studded nights.

Tickets are available online, and with names like these attached, they’re unlikely to stick around for long. So if you happen to be on the island mid-August, these are two dates well worth keeping free.
