Lifelong Learning Open Day Opens Doors to All This Saturday
The Directorate for Lifelong Learning and Employability (DLE) welcomes the public to the Lifelong Learning Open Day at the Lifelong Learning Centre, Qrejten Street, Msida, taking place, Saturday 25 April 2026, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The open day forms part of DLE’s annual initiative aimed at promoting adult education, personal development and employability, offering the public an opportunity to explore the wide range of learning opportunities available to adults aged 15 and over across Malta and Gozo. The event follows a similar Open Day held in Gozo earlier this month and brings together educators, learners and prospective participants in a welcoming and creative environment.
Visitors can experience an extensive exhibition of creative and practical work produced by learners and educators, showcasing courses in arts, crafts, languages, personal development and practical skills. The exhibition reflects the creativity, dedication and progress of adult learners within the Lifelong Learning community.
Throughout the day, educators, current learners and members of the Guidance and Support Service will be on site to answer questions, provide information about courses, and offer personalised guidance to anyone considering taking the next step in their learning journey. The open day is designed to support both first-time learners and those returning to education, whether for professional development, re‑skilling, or personal enrichment.
The open day also includes a selection of interactive taster sessions, giving visitors a hands-on experience of some of the courses being offered. These sessions aim to help participants discover new interests, build confidence, and better understand the learning environment provided by the Directorate for Lifelong Learning and Employability. Speaking through this initiative, the Director for Lifelong Learning and Employability, Grazio Grixti said that “these open days are a celebration of all the knowledge and skills acquired during the year by the learners and we hope to entice new students to start a new learning journey with us.” He continued by saying that the “Directorate reaffirms its commitment to making learning a lifelong journey for everyone by providing accessible, inclusive and supportive educational opportunities for adults across Malta and Gozo.”
The public is encouraged to attend and take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet educators, explore courses, view learners’ work and discover what inspires them.
