A casual fine dining experience situated on the historic St Georges Square, Valletta. Highly awarded and where service is paramount. Brimming with creativity and a passion for food, Chef Patron Maria Sammut has been cooking with love for the past 16 years. The food is consistently really well put together and very rich in flavour. The cheese and bacon bonbons, the prawn and duck taco are some of our favourite picks but the real showstopper is the beef wellington, so if you’re a meat lover you definitely have to order this one! Their desserts are on another level and we cannot stop raving about the strawberry cheesecake, which is literally the shape of a strawberry.

Taproom is a contemporary concept restaurant serving both lunch and dinner as well as late night drinks.
This brasserie is a relaxed and welcoming social space to meet and mingle, have a quick bite, an after-work drink or late night cocktails. The menu is fantastic, but the beef tartare is worth a special mention. Oh, and we almost forgot about the beef tagliatelle… simply divine!

It offers a broad range of Mediterranean food, home- made desserts and an extensive wine list. The food is amazing, from the complimentary amuse-bouche to the fabulous desserts and everything in between… and by everything in between we are referring to the pork belly main that is mouthwateringly delicious, as were the accompanying vegetables and roasted potatoes. Who knew a roast dinner could be this good?

Strongly recommend this place to all the pasta lovers out there. The carbonara? Delicious. Exquisite. These words aren’t even enough to describe it. As they will undoubtedly explain to you, it is made with pork cheeks instead of bacon and yes, no cream either. You’ll struggle to find a better Carbonara. You can even select a bottle of wine from the wine cellar, a very nice touch.

Don’t expect this one to be your standard pizzeria. But we can guarantee the pizza here will definitely be the best pizza you have ever had. They serve pizza – rosso (with tomato paste) and bianco (without). The restaurant is advertised as a roman pizzeria, but well, we have eaten at several similar establishments in Rome, and can tell you that this is superior to all of them.

A steakhouse and whisky bar that also caters for vegetarians, vegans and celiacs. The concept of the restaurant allows you to pick your own meat from the selection on display. View all the uncooked sausages, steaks and different cuts of meat, which vary in price per kilo etc. The Uruguayan fillet steak is delicious, cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. If you’re going for the meat, they tick that box perfectly.

Walking into Manon is like going back in time to a 1920s luxury ocean liner. You can’t help drawing your breath in as you set foot inside: rich woods polished until they gleam, streamlined geometric forms, marble décor, brass details and a blend of velvet armchairs and wood-framed booths. Manon has a variety of classic dishes on the menu, however, what stands out are the creative Asian fusion dishes. A stunning wine menu and also fancy cocktails. Finish off with an amazing chocolate fondant, cooked perfectly with an oozing middle, just as it should be.

The menu is quite simple but superb. We would absolutely recommend beginning your meal with the wild boar pappardelle – a truly excellent plate of pasta! You can also choose between a five course meat and fish menu at a reasonable price. This gem is a serious place for foodies who appreciate the quality of the cooking and produce. Five stars for this one.
