Ruger Takes Centre Stage at DLT Malta Festival This June

Nigeria’s acclaimed musical talent, Ruger, is set to make waves at the prestigious DLT Malta Festival on 16 June , where fans can expect an electrifying showcase of his latest double A-side single ‘Luv Again / Make Way’.

Known for his infectious blend of Afrobeats and Dancehall, Ruger’s ‘Luv Again’ delivers catchy hooks while ‘Make Way’ captivates with its mellower groove and Ruger’s commanding flow.

Fresh off the success of his EP ‘RnB’, including the hit track ‘Poe’, Ruger continues to dominate charts and streaming platforms globally. His European tour, which includes stops at major festivals like DLT Malta and Wireless Festival in London, underscores his rapid ascent since debuting in 2021.

Since dropping his first single in 2021, Ruger, has made a habit of standing out amongst worldwide audiences, not least thanks to bright pink hair, an eyepatch, and an unequivocally true-to-himself attitude. Spending the bulk of 2023 on a sold-out international tour, Ruger has steadily granted fans a stream of top-tier projects in two short years, from the debut EP Pandemic to follow-ups The Second Wave and The Second Wave Deluxe. Breakout single ‘Asiwaju’, which featured on Ruger’s debut album RU The World, would catapult him to wider fame, the track going #1 in Nigeria, #3 on the OCC Afrobeats Chart in the UK and gaining over 100 million streams, whilst ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Bounce’ would catch further attention from fans worldwide.

The artist has also received support from Vogue, Wonderland, Fader and The Face amongst others, as well as airplay and support from BBC 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Capital Xtra, NTS and Rinse, as well as releasing collaborations with Rema, D’Prince and Projexxx, and garnering shout-outs from the likes of Popcaan, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
