A Celebration of DIY, Art, and Design at Valletta Design Cluster This Saturday
The Valletta Design Cluster is set to launch its inaugural Tinkering Days on Saturday, 14 September 2024. This exciting event, inspired by the global Maker movement, aims to celebrate local creativity and passion across a spectrum of disciplines, from DIY and design to art and technology.
Tinkering Days will offer an eclectic mix of activities designed to engage and inspire. Attendees can look forward to cooking workshops, artist open studios, and interactive sessions for children, including LEGO robotics. The event will also feature interactive displays, sound and light installations, and much more, ensuring a diverse experience for visitors of all ages.
The open day format provides a unique opportunity for the public to explore the Valletta Design Cluster. Visitors will have access to various stands, engage with makers about their crafts, and participate in numerous activities throughout the building. The event will also include open studios and interactive installations, with the rooftop garden available for exploration.
Admission and Offerings
Entrance to Tinkering Days is free of charge, with no tickets required. Attendees can purchase food and drinks from members of the Valletta Design Cluster, including French pastries by Geoffrey Barault, meals from SAHHA’s kitchen, and craft beers from Huskie Craft Beer Company. Additionally, Chef Mark Camilleri will lead a workshop on bread and butter in the Learning Kitchen.
