Thousands of candles will once again light up the historic Ċitadella as Lejl Imkebbes returns with a refreshed programme of art, installations, and open-air experiences.

The historic Ċitadella in the heart of Victoria will once again become the centre of attention as Lejl Imkebbes 2025 returns for an evening of light, culture, and discovery. This much-loved event promises a renewed experience, as the ancient city is illuminated by thousands of candles and reimagined through a mix of artistic displays and live performance.

This year’s edition introduces new artistic artefacts and installations that blend naturally with the architectural beauty of the Ċitadella. Carefully designed light structures will cast a soft glow across its stone walls, transforming the historic space into a visual journey. A reworked entertainment area has been introduced to match the calm and reflective tone of the evening, offering moments to pause and take in the setting.

Throughout the night, visitors will encounter re-enactments, roaming performers, and live artistic moments that bring elements of history, tradition, and creativity to life.
