Malta Weather This Week, Sun, Showers & Sizzling Temperatures!
Golden Bay, Manikata
Planning a sunny escape to Malta this week? You’re in for a classic Mediterranean treat, think scorching sun, a splash of midweek showers, and plenty of beach-perfect weather by the weekend.
The week kicks off with a scorcher! Monday (16 June) and Tuesday (17 June) are looking absolutely glorious, with clear blue skies and the sun blazing from dawn to dusk. Temperatures will soar to 33°C and 34°C, but it’ll feel even hotter, up to a toasty 36°C on Tuesday. So slap on that sunscreen (UV index is a high 10!), grab your hat, and keep the water bottle close if you’re wandering the streets of Valletta or exploring Mdina’s ancient alleyways.
By Wednesday (18 June), things cool down just a smidge, with a “feels like” temp of 31°C and some cloud cover moving in. A good day for a mix of sightseeing and café hopping if you’re not feeling beachy.
Then, just as you’re getting used to the sun-drenched days, here comes a little twist! Thursday (19 June) and Friday (20 June) bring isolated showers, yep, even Malta needs a breather. Expect some on-and-off rain with highs of 29°C on Thursday and a slightly cooler 27°C on Friday. Still warm by most standards, but you might want to pack a light jacket or a pocket umbrella or poncho just in case. On the plus side, the showers are isolated, so there’s a good chance you’ll dodge the drops if you’re lucky.
Ghadira Bay, Mellieha
Worried your beach plans are ruined? Don’t be! The sun bounces back in full force by the weekend. Saturday (21 June) and Sunday (22 June) are both forecast to be sunny and warm, with highs of 32°C and 31°C respectively. Perfect for that lazy beach day in Mellieħa or a boat trip around the Blue Lagoon.
All in all, Malta’s serving up a bit of everything this week, sun, a few refreshing showers, and loads of opportunities to enjoy the island. Just don’t forget the sunscreen and maybe toss a brolly in your beach bag. Happy holidaying!
