Thea Parnis Coleiro Sets National Record and Secures Spot in 200m Final at European Youth Olympic Festival
Maltese sprinter Thea Parnis Coleiro delivered a strong performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival, securing her place in the final of the 200m event.
Competing at the National Stadium Todor Proeski, Parnis Coleiro clocked an impressive 24.06 seconds in the semi-final, finishing third in her heat.
This result not only earned her a place in the final but also set a new national record in both the Under 18 and Under 20 categories.
The 200m final is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 25 July at 10:20 a.m.
The programme for the next two days of competition will see Taekwondo athlete Alycia Cassar who will compete in the -63kgs event on Friday 25th July, from 11:24am onwards, whilst Gymnast Sophie St. John will compete in the Balance Beam final on the 26 July from 14:20hrs onwards.
