Explore the Art of Fabric at Palazzo Falson This August

Throughout the month of August 2025, Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum in Mdina will host Fabric in Art, a captivating sensory tour that delves into the fascinating role of textiles and fabrics in art.

This unique experience offers visitors the opportunity to explore the diverse ways in which fabrics have been used across different artistic forms within the collection of Olof Gollcher.

The tour highlights the historical and cultural significance of textiles, inviting participants to engage not only visually but also through touch. Select fabric samples will be made available during the tour, allowing for a rare hands-on encounter with various textures and materials featured in the museum’s works.

Adding a creative twist, visitors will also be invited to take part in an interactive activity at the end of the tour. Each participant will have the chance to decorate a personalised postcard using an assortment of fabrics provided on-site, a keepsake to remember the experience by.

Fabric in Art will run daily from 12:00 to 13:00, excluding Mondays, throughout the month of August. Due to limited space, advance booking is required. Tickets are priced at €12.50 and are non-refundable.

Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum is managed by Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, a non-profit heritage foundation dedicated to promoting Maltese cultural heritage through museums, exhibitions, publications, and events. This event promises to be a rich and immersive exploration of fabric’s role in art and history, an experience not to be missed.
