A hidden gem in the Valley
Urban Valley Resort and Spa, a four-star resort located in the heart of Wied Ghollieqa, a unique natural reserve in the centre of Malta. We speak to General Manager Shawn Muscat for some insight into what makes Urban Valley so special
How does Urban Valley Resort differ from other accommodation options in Malta? What should guests expect?
Undoubtedly, the prime forte of our resort is its unique setting, which offers a sense of tranquillity, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It can be felt from the moment one approaches the resort as its completely surrounded by a valley, making it the only hotel on the island that is not located in an urban setting or by the sea. Urban Valley is just 10 minutes away from the capital of Valletta and a two-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.
The resort offers just the right setting for outdoor seasonal venues, with its beautiful surrounding landscape and trees. The entire is finished to the highest of standards and also caters for persons with limited mobility.
Also on site are Viento, the Gin and Rum bar and TRI. The former is set by the pool, with a tapas menu. On the other hand, TRI offers a vast menu, including healthy salad options and snacks.
What business amenities do you offer and who would benefit from them?
Corporate clients, business groups and local companies are always looking for new venues, which would provide them with the latest technologies and amenities on the market. This would give them greater flexibility in setting up with conference or meeting spaces, according to their requirements. A number of business services are offered by the resort including the possibility of hiring an office assistant for the event.
The business centre, targets leisure groups and MICE. These newly built premises are comprised of three fully functional floors. The ground floor houses 80 people and can be partitioned. The first floor accommodates 210 people in a theatre setting, while the second consists of five breakout rooms, which can easily be opened up into one large open space to accommodate the client.
