Anthea zammit crowned miss universe malta 2020

The 26 year old dancer and law student from Zebbug prevailed over 25 other contestants to take over the title from Sliema’s Teresa Ruglio at the Hilton Hotel on Saturday.

The newly crowned winner will go on to represent Malta at the international Miss Universe competition, once-owned by Donald Trump, which will take place later on this year. The competition hosts contestants from over 100 countries.

 

 

The top 15 appeared in evening gowns before the final 10 were chosen for the swimwear parade segment.

Following this event, Anthea commented, “ Waking up to this dream which has now become reality, feels so surreal! I truly have no words! The months on end of training and preparation have been such a wonderful journey and this now marks the beginning of a dream! “

Qrendi’s Madeline Baldacchino and Mosta’s Jasmine Camilleri rounded out 2020’s top three, placing second and third.
