Malta current favourite to win Eurovision 2021 once again

Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest participant Destiny Chukanyere has just finished her second dress rehearsal, revealing a brand new outfit, following a dash (and then some) of online controversy earlier in the week.

Taking to her Instagram after the performance, Destiny talked about the experience of taking to the stage for a second time, adding that she thought the second rehearsal went even better than the first, performing on the proper stage for the first time. The talented singer acknowledged the outfit change by saying, “we changed the outfit. I feel great in it and feel content with my performance.”

Where does Malta currently stand?

After the second dress rehearsal, Malta reclaimed its top spot as the favourite to win with the bookmakers, at 18%! France slipped to second at 15% and Switzerland currently stands at third, at 10%. Check out the standings here:

Destiny performs in the first semi-final on Tuesday, with the final taking place on Saturday 22 May.

The Eurovision Song Contest is being held in Rotterdam in the Netherlands this year, after it was postponed last year, due to the pandemic.
