88-metre super yacht Nirvana docked in Malta

Just last week, the 88.5-metre super yacht Nirvana was spotted in Malta. It can currently be seen docked in the Marina Grand Harbour. Built by Oceanco in Alblasserdam in the Netherlands, the yacht was launched back in 2012 and was one of the company’s largest super yacht projects at the time.

Alongside Australian designer Sam Sorgiovanni, Nirvana is the work of the Dutch shipyard. Around 180 different materials were used onboard, ranging from ironwood to onyx, to silk, to bronze. On sale for €256.1 million, Nirvana is, according to Arabian Business, “one of the most luxurious floating mansions of its time.”

Owned by Omani billionaire Dr Mohammad Al Barwani, Nirvana has a deep, dark blue hull, slightly flared bow and an 80-metre-long owner’s deck stretching nearly the entire length of the boat.

Let’s talk features. Nirvana includes a 7.5-metre counter-flow swimming pool with the adjacent sun pads, forming the centrepiece of the aft deck. The super yacht provides access to six decks via a central elevator and the interior spaces benefit from contemporary finishings and neutral tones.

Nirvana sleeps up to 12 guests, across a range of six staterooms. The accommodation is comprised of a master suite, a full-beam VIP suite and four double cabins. There’s more. She is also able to discreetly carry up to 27 crew members!

In terms of amenities, Nirvana is all decked out (excuse the pun!) It includes a gym, Jacuzzi on deck, a helicopter landing pad, tender garage, movie theatre, sauna, steam room, massage room and dance floor.
