Mandatory testing for people arriving in Sicily from Malta

Planning on visiting Sicily this summer? The island of Sicily has made PCR COVID-19 testing mandatory for people arriving from Malta, said the region president Nello Musumeci yesterday.

According to the statement published by Regione Sicilia, any person who arrives in Sicily from Malta, or who has been in Malta in the last 14 days, must undergo testing to be allowed in the region. Sicily had already placed the same restrictions on those travelling from Portugal and Spain through a regional ordinance and on India, Sri Lanka, Brazil and Bangladesh, as required by the National government.
