In the last four years, local singer, songwriter and producer Matthew James has been growing and establishing his solo career, by means of several number one hit songs and various projects. He has worked with artists from different genres, which have led to collaborations with the likes of Ray Mercieca, Ira Losco and Toby and Kersten Graham.

In collaboration with the latter, Matthew James has released Moonlight River, and we could not be more appreciative. When discussing the track, Matthew James lamented about how the two artists enjoy the same kind of music and appreciate each other’s styles. Therefore, he believes that it was only a matter of time until a collaboration between the two would happen.

Matthew James added that when he was writing the track, he thought that he needed a guitar wall of sound. Thus, during a jamming session with Kersten, he knew that he was just the man for the job.

Unfortunately, when I peak out of my circle of humans, I realise that the love I experience is ever so rare. “With the constant injustice, lack of emotional intelligence and empathy, our world would be literally hell if it weren’t for good and kind people with the right morals and values.
