‘Chalet’, the new period drama series has exclusively landed on GO TV
Centred around the grandest entertainment lodestone in the 1920s up to its permanent closure in the 1960s, the Chalet offers viewers a different take on the wonders of the establishment through the recounting stories of Lippu and his plethora of hidden memorabilia. This stash of writings falls into the hands of Caroline while she was decluttering her father’s house following his passing, arousing her inclinations to disentangle this mystery with the help of Oliver. Across Lippu’s writings, Caroline and Oliver discover his relationship with ‘Il-King’ and the multiplex set of events surrounding the Chalet and Karolina. Featuring the likes of local stars such as Davide Tucci, Simone Spiteri, and Sandra Davis, this series is set to leave a mark in Malta’s entertainment industry with its staggering twists and unexpected turns.
The Chalet was situated in Sliema’s Ghar id-dud, embellishing the area of Qui-Si-Sana and mystifying its esteemed guests through its contemporary art nouveau style and modernistic take on self-expression while targeting the local’s delectations in the 20th century. Now demolished, the concrete area is now primarily utilised by fishermen and swimmers alike.
This exclusive period drama series has premiered in late December, offering inquisitive viewers the opportunity to watch the first two episodes for free on GO Malta’s YouTube channel. The rest of the episodes will be available on Go Stars and on GO TV respectively.
