This Tuesday 19 April sees the welcome return of the Malta Spring Festival, an innovative event which each year features a different theme exploring both established historical works and modern compositions
Founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Karl Fiorini, the Malta Spring Festival presents listeners with a unique experience designed to inspire, inform, explore and entertain. This year’s 16th edition of the festival, beginning Tuesday 19 April and running until Saturday 23 April, presents a series of engaging concerts across various venues in Valletta, comprising both music and dance performances.
The festival opens on 19 April with a concert by the Germany-based vocal ensemble, Vox Nostra (“Our Voice”) at St Paul’s Cathedral in Valletta, before continuing on 20th April with a recital by the noted Maltese pianist, Charlene Farrugia, at Teatru Manoel.
Thursday 21 April sees the London-based Klein String Trio present a programme of modern compositions at the Museum of Archeology, as well as a contemporary dance performance entitled Muse and Madness later in the evening at the Ballroom Casino Maltese.
