Halloween Events Taking Place in Gozo this Weekend
Hundreds of kids (and adults) in eerie costumes are expected to roam around the streets asking for candy. Thus, Gozo, as every year, is promising thrilling events catered for all ages. OhMyMalta has compiled some of the events happening in Gozo this weekend for you and your spooky friends.
Haunted Garden - Għajnsielem
Tonight, the Ghajnsielem Local Council will once again turn the garden into a terrifying ghost village that will be open over the whole Halloween weekend. Both children and adults will get the chance to participate in an eerie environment filled with spiders, ghosts, and obviously pumpkin faces. There will be a number of activities taking place throughout the two nights, including a live performance by the band StraitAhead on Saturday at 9 o’clock.
Haunted Shelter - Nadur
A fan favourite of many, the Nadur Haunted Shelter, is returning once again. This time in Nadur, the event is set to be spread out over two days from 3 to 9 p.m. The Haunted Dungeon is a spooky yet engrossing experience that should not be missed. It is expected to incorporate the involvement of real actors and many surprises. At the door, donations will be taken for Puttinu Cares. The Haunted Shelter will be eerie and dark, so you are in for one wild ride!
Halloween Fundraiser - Nadur
The annual fundraiser is back in Nadur. This Halloween, the organisers are encouraging everyone to dress up for the holiday and hang out in Nadur Square from six in the afternoon onwards. The fundraiser, organised in partnership with the Ministry for Gozo and support of Puttinu Cares, will feature a variety of kid-friendly activities, including arts and crafts, face painting, tattoos, pumpkin pies, and games. Visitors will be entertained by Netta’s Spooky Boogy Bunch’s Halloween Dances. Additionally, Fire Play will perform a Fire Show. So yes, you are in for a treat, quite literally and metaphorically! Two hours into the event, Lost Tourists, Divine Sinners, Strait Ahead, and Upper Lip will perform a rock charity concert! A Memorable Token will be awarded for the largest pumpkin carving.
