A free event celebrating Malta’s success in the GSSE is set to take place on Wednesday 14 June 2023 at 7:30pm at Castille Square, Valletta.

Everyone is invited to attend and greet the athletes who formed part of the Maltese contingent of the 2023 Games of the Small States of Europe.

Malta’s medal tally of 38 Gold, 30 Silver and 29 Bronze medals saw Malta rank first, amongst the nine participating countries, in the overall medal leaderboard. Incidentally, Malta’s best result in previous Games was registered in 2003 when our country hosted these Games for the second time. That day Malta came in fourth place, with a tally of 44 medals. 

The event will relive some of the best moments during the Games. Popular local artists, Amber and Aidan together with a live band will be performing. The two artists performed the official song of these Games, ‘Shine Your Light’. They will be joined on stage by popular DJs Ziggy and David. All this will be complemented with projections in the square and a stunning fireworks display.
