Malta National Aquarium to hold After-dark Silent Disco this Friday

In celebration of their 10 year anniversary, the Malta National Aquarium will be breaking curfew to deliver a unique after-dark event. This Friday 29 September, head to the aquarium at 8pm for a little something more than a tour past opening hours (although that’s still on the table). Located in Qawra, the aquarium will be holding a Silent Disco on its own turf!

For those who haven’t heard of a silent disco before, it’s a party where all the music plays through wireless glowing headphones that are distributed to all the guests, rather than a speaker system. Not only does it make for a much more immersive experience, but it also allows you to take a break from the noise whenever you want and communicate with your friends more easily by simply removing your headphones.

Plus, you won’t be packed like sardines in some crowded venue. Attendees are free to explore the aquarium, whether they prefer to be guided by an expert or roam on their own. And ofcourse, no party is complete without a bar. Every ticket comes with a complimentary drink, but there’ll be a fully-stocked gin bar available. You can ogle at any of their 175 marine species while sipping on a Martini. But that’s not all, guests are also welcome to try out a special Virtual Reality experience!

You can go to a party every other weekend, and silent discos are far and few in between. But, a silent disco in an Aquarium? Those are definitely hard to come by.

Tickets are priced at €15 and can be bought online. Get them while you can! You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind party.
