Fright Night: A Halloween Extravaganza at The Hatter Irish Pub in Gżira

This Halloween, the Hatter Irish Pub in Gżira is pulling all the stops for a night of games, competitions, and more spooky fun. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience at “Fright Night” on October 31.

First up, a classic pumpkin carving competition takes place at 7 pm! Competitors will work closely together in teams of two or three to create the best imaginative designs possible within the time limit. Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided by the pub, although you are more than welcome to bring your own and show the opponents you mean business. After time runs out, the finished pumpkins are put on display and the winner is decided by a crowd vote.

Next, hold onto that competitive spirit because after the carving contest comes a night of board games strategic play. However, it is Halloween after all, so no one will be sitting down to play chess. Gather up to five of your closest friends for the cooperative zombie apocalypse survival game, Zombicide.

At the risk of stating the obvious, attendees are more than welcome to dress in their scariest attire. Think outside of the box, find inspiration, and hit the thrift stores because there will be a costume competition. Don’t shy away from going all out, you might end up having the costume to beat and not even know it. Besides, how many other times a year can you dress up like you do on Halloween?

As the night gets older, take part in an interactive game of Halloween Bingo – and no, it’s not just regular bingo with spooky-themed cards. Instead of numbers, you’ll be ticking off items that can only be found by getting up and exploring the venue.

This exciting blend of creativity, friendship, and horror-filled fun begins at 6 pm. Tickets are priced €5 per person, and €20 for a pumpkin carving team, you can either pay now or at the door upon arrival.  Tell your friends and book your spot here, but I’d act quickly cause they’re limited and you do not want to pass up this Halloween extravaganza!
