Starting this Sunday, St Theresa Church in Cospicua will host a weekly Mass delivered in the Indian Malayalam language, catering to the the Indian community residing in Malta. 

Fr Jason Puthumadasser, a friar from Kerala, will conduct the Mass, underscoring the inclusive ethos of the church. “This is testament that Jesus is the indeed Good Shepard and does in fact take care of his herd,” the Order of the Discalced Carmelites in Malta said in a Facebook statement.

The statemement acknowledged the significant decision of those who have left their homeland to settle in Malta, recognising that such a move was not made lightly. The statement further highlighted the arrival of Fr Jason as a means to provide additional spiritual guidance to the Indian community, strengthening their faith in scripture through practical means.
