Women’s Day Tour at Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum This Saturday
To mark International Women’s Day 2025, the Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum in Mdina is hosting an exclusive, specially curated tour that highlights the profound impact women have had throughout history. The event will take place on Saturday, 8 March 2025, from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
This insightful one-hour guided tour will explore the diverse roles women have played in shaping our world, from their essential contributions as the primary workforce in the cotton industry—represented by an impressive collection of historical spinning wheels—to the remarkable influence of Julia Domna, the powerful empress who left a lasting legacy in politics, society, and philosophy. Through this tour, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of how these historical roles are linked to the exceptional objects housed within Olof Gollcher’s collection at the museum.
To make the day even more memorable, guests will be treated to a celebratory glass of Buck’s Fizz and a selection of delicious nibbles in the museum’s charming revivalist courtyard following the tour.
