Malta to Host Major Eurovision 2026 Viewing Events in Valletta and Campus Hub
As excitement builds for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Malta is gearing up to celebrate in style. The Maltese delegation will depart for Vienna this Sunday to take part in the contest’s 70th edition, and fans across the island will have plenty of opportunities to join the festivities.
Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) has announced a series of large-scale public viewing events, with TVM Eurovision Fanzones set to transform Valletta into a vibrant hub for fans. The main locations—Triton Square and Campus Hub—are expected to attract thousands of attendees, all coming together to support Malta’s representative, AIDAN, and his entry “Bella.”
The fanzones will screen all three live Eurovision shows:
- Semi-Final 1: 12 May
- Semi-Final 2: 14 May
- Grand Final: 16 May
Doors open at 20:00, with live broadcasts at 21:00, giving fans plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere before the show begins.
PBS has also revealed an impressive international creative team behind AIDAN’s Eurovision performance. The lineup includes:
- Dan Shipton, Creative Director of Eurovision 2023
- Lee Smithurst, Head of Show for the same edition
- Al Gurdon, renowned lighting designer known for his work on the Super Bowl Halftime Show
- Tom Eerebout, globally recognised stylist who has worked with artists like Lady Gaga and Austin Butler
This powerhouse team aims to deliver a visually striking and memorable performance for Malta on the Eurovision stage.
Malta will perform 14th in the second semi-final, a key position as the country competes for a place in the grand final. Whether watching from the heart of Valletta or the lively Campus Hub, fans can expect an electric atmosphere as the nation rallies behind AIDAN.
With large crowds, shared excitement, and a strong sense of national pride, the TVM Eurovision Fanzones promise to be one of the highlights of Malta’s Eurovision season.
