Where in Malta has Jason Statham Been Spotted? The Hollywood Star’s Island Adventure Continues
Jason Statham may be in Malta to film his latest action movie, but the Hollywood star has also been making the most of his island surroundings, swapping stunt scenes for seaside views and family time.
The action hero has been spotted around Malta as production continues on his upcoming movie, with Valletta transformed into a Hollywood set. Crew members, cameras and dramatic stunt sequences have taken over parts of the capital, with one recent scene showing a red truck racing through the city before launching off a ramp and skidding across the road.
But when the cameras stop rolling, Statham’s Malta experience appears to be a little more relaxed.
The actor celebrated his birthday on the island with his partner Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and their kids. Rosie shared a heartfelt tribute to Statham on social media, describing him as “our favourite guy” and “the action man who does it all”.
Casa Bonavita
The family has also been enjoying some of Malta’s more leisurely experiences, including a private yacht charter around the island’s coastline, the perfect way to escape the summer crowds and take in Malta’s dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters and hidden bays.
Their island adventures have also included a visit to Villa Bologna, where their son was seen taking part in a pottery class. Rosie also gave followers a glimpse of Casa Bonavita in Attard, a luxurious boutique stay offering beautifully designed interiors, historic details and a more private alternative to the island’s larger hotels.
From speeding through Valletta streets for the big screen to cruising the Mediterranean by yacht, Statham’s Malta stay has included the best of both worlds, Hollywood action and a very Mediterranean escape.
Filming has taken place across various Maltese locations, including Valletta and Marsaxlokk, with the islands once again proving why they remain a favourite destination for international film productions.
For visitors hoping to follow in the footsteps of the action star, the itinerary is simple: explore Valletta’s historic streets, discover Malta’s colourful fishing village and end the day out on the water. No stunt double required.
