Judges Announced for Next Season of Malta’s Got Talent

This week, TVM announced the new panel of judges chosen to preside over the upcoming season of Malta’s Got Talent (MGT)

The hotly-anticipated announcement came after over a week of speculation, following a teaser video posted to TVM’s Facebook page on 12 July. The panel sees both new and returning judges, and welcomes four of Malta’s leading celebrities from a range of fields.

TVM announced the judges across four days eagerly followed by MGT fans, beginning with Sarah Zerafa on 18 July. Ms Zerafa is the one of two returning judges from the first season aired in 2021, and is well-known across Malta as a model and social media personality.

Joining Sarah Zerafa as a returning judge is Ray Attard — an actor, script writer, presenter and director whose involvement in the upcoming reality TV show was announced on 19 July.

In a surprise twist, presenter of the first season of MGT, Gordon Bonello, will return to the show this year as a judge, his appointment announced the day after Sarah Zerafa. Mr Bonello brings his significant screen experience to the judging panel, having previously presented shows including Moħħok Hemm.

The last announcement came yesterday on 21 July, when the involvement of model and Vibe FM radio host, Valentina Rossi, was posted to the MGT Facebook page. Introduced by the show’s team with the words, “Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better”, Ms Rossi joins MGT for the first time though is well-known in Malta for her popular drive-time radio show presented alongside Nate Darmanin and Frank Zammit.
