This Friday 7 October, the Ħaxwex group, in conjunction with the non-profit organisation Arsha Our, will present a unique new project at Valletta’s Offbeat bar

This week, Offbeat will host Tħaxwix, a new project featuring performances from audio artists Elisa von Brockdorff, Ben Mifsud Joslin, Robert Farrugia, Timothy Garrett and duo Ayn Il Widen. The project embraces innovative and contemporary approaches to audio creation, with each artist performing separately between 8pm and 11pm. The schedule for the evening is as follows:

The performance is held in conjunction with Arsha Our, an organisation active since 2007 focusing on contemporary and electronic music, new media and digital art, and is supported by the Xummiemu National Audio-Visual Endowment for the Enhancement of the Strategic Creation of Holistic Sound Art Hubs in the Mediterranean Basin and Surrounding Region.

Offbeat music bar is one of Valletta’s premier performance venues, regularly hosting some of Malta’s most prolific musicians as well as leading artists from abroad. While primarily known for its rich and diverse programme of live jazz, Offbeat hosts an eclectic range of other performances, each month opening its doors for engaging and unique performances in its intimate surroundings.
