This November and December sees Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta present a series of showings of Ruben Östlund’s outrageous new black comedy Triangle of Sadness.

Set aboard a hyper-luxury yacht catering to every whim of the super-rich, the story follows the events aboard the ship and the inevitable rebalancing of power in the wake of a devastating shipwreck. Starring Woody Harrelson as the ship’s captain and ironically avowed Marxist, and Harris Dickinson and Charlbi Dean as two models and social media influencers, the film savagely skewers mainstream values of Western society with shocking and hilarious results.

Triangle of Sadness received a standing ovation at its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and has won the prestigious Palme d’Or.
