Finally, we’ve made it back on to the European Union’s travel green list, after spending a long summer on the red and orange lists.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention (ECDC) issues a map on a weekly basis, classifying each country based on the number of cases and positive rate detected during the previous week.
In the latest map, which was issued today, Malta was classified as being on the green list, after being off the list since 12th July, when it was classified as red as a result of a nasty spike in cases. Countries with the best positivity and infection rates are classified as green, followed by those in orange and red. The countries that are considered to be the worst hit are placed in the dark red category.
