Malta Song Eurovision 2022 Rehearsals Commence this Week

Twenty-two competing acts will take part in the semi final on Thursday 17 of February where 16 will triumph and move on to the final night on Saturday. A special night will be held on Friday 18 of February.

This year, the contest’s hosts are none other than local celebrities Stephanie Spiteri, Quinton Scerri, Ron Briffa and Ryan & Josmar. The 2022 national MESC slogan ‘What a Feeling’ goes hand in hand with this year’s Eurovision contest which is being held in Turin, Italy, ‘The Sound of Beauty’.

Rehearsals for MESC have commenced earlier this week with snippets being uploaded on their Instagram page. A draw last week determined the running order for the semi final, confirming that AIDAN will open the show with his Maltese song ‘Ritmu’ while Jessika will close the show with her song ‘Kaleidoscope’. Jessika also represented San Marino in the Eurovision back in 2018 with her song ‘Who We Are’. The rest of the running order will be determined by the show’s producers to balance out the style and genres of the songs to control the overall flow.

The Malta Eurovision 2022 will be held at the MFFC –Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre, Attard Malta.
