Explore empowering hand-selected stalls on Sundays in Malta, showcasing female entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant, supportive environment
Malta’s women’s community has been bringing sunshine to the outside markets in the Three Cities and around Malta since Covid times. I discovered an outdoor group of local shops a few weeks ago and ended up buying several different items from the many beautiful people who were outside selling their creations. I love to buy from local creators and this is a great place to find lovely and unique gifts, especially for the upcoming holidays. Meeting with the creator of these events, Dana Carmont, she explained that she founded the FEM Commnity as a social hub to help women promote and sell their items in a place that supports each other.
As Dana so eloquently explains “ FEM. Community is a social hub for supporting women in business and connecting women together. Sundays’ event was launched by FEM. Community in Malta two years ago during the pandemic. As most women who had a lot of time being stuck at home started new passions, which turned in to small businesses, this was a way to bring in some income.”
Sundays came to LIFE for female entrepreneurs to launch/ showcase their products and services, with shop fronts for current and new clients and customers to visit, to scale their businesses with new sales and collaborations with networking. Sundays. Boutique shop fronts are hand-selected to keep the exclusive boutique look. Shopfronts feature items such as candles, fashion, vegan treats, home decor, jewellery, baby clothes, accessories, handmade handbags, homegrown plants, hand-crafted products, baked goods, gourmet foods and selected services. Curated pre-loved markets celebrate being sustainable in the community where you can donate, sell and shop pre-loved clothes.
You can even donate your clothes to the Female Entrepreneurs Malta VO shop front to support raising funds for training and business start-ups for female entrepreneurs in Malta or simply rent a rack space to sell your pre-loved.
Sundays Markets take place on the first Sunday of every month weather permitting at Cospicua Waterfront. During December they are held every Sunday before Christmas.
With beautiful historic buildings, parks and a waterfront location, this is the perfect location to shop, eat, drink and relax at Sundays.
Location: Set up next to the Date Art café in Triq Dom Mintoff near Senglea – Vittoriosa Bridge and infront of the American University Of Malta.”
