Għajn Tuffieħa Bay in Malta has been crowned as the number one beach in Europe by the European Best Destinations (EBD) organisation, a recognition also shared by Forbes. This accolade comes after a poll involving 103,224 travellers from 116 countries, selecting 15 beaches renowned for their beauty, activities, and safety.

Situated near Mellieħa, Għajn Tuffieħa Bay boasts golden sands, cliffs, and remnants of Roman baths. Recognised by the European Commission for its sustainable tourism efforts, this beach offers top-notch cleanliness and amenities, including restaurants, snack bars, sunbeds, and water sports facilities.

Malta’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond its beaches, with the country being lauded for its diverse outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, horse riding, paddleboarding, snorkelling, and diving. Visitors can also explore the nearby islands of Gozo and Comino, home to attractions like the stunning Blue Lagoon.
