Carnival makes its return for a second time this year, this time with the colourful floats and dancers taking over the streets of Valletta
The organisers of the event have announced the three-day programme:
FRIDAY 20 MAY
6PM – 8PM
A programme featuring competitive dancing at St George’s Square Valletta followed by a défilé with King Carnival, Installations from Company Section A and Grotesque Masks.

Ballu Tritoni featuring various carnival installations.

SATURDAY 21 MAY
9.30AM – 12:00PM
A programme featuring competitive dancing including participation from Dance Company Section C (children) as well as installations from sections C and D at St George’s Square Valletta ​

Guggen Muzik Band Parade – Republic Street, Valletta
4PM – 6PM
A live rendition of Il-Qarċilla at St John’s Street, Valletta (opposite St John’s Ci-Cathedral) – an irreverant and satirical performance of a mock wedding that has traditionally formed part of Carnival revelry, penned by Ċikku l-Poplu and produced by Joseph Galea.
6PM – 8PMÂ
A programme featuring competitive dancing at St George’s Square Valletta followed by a défilé with King Carnival, Carnival Installations and Installations from Company Section A.
